Will Kimbrough is an American roots insider who grew up on Alabama’s gulf coast, honed his musical skills on the club circuit, moved to Nashville, and started working with folks like Guy Clark, Emmylou Harris, Little Feat, Steve Earle, and Jimmy Buffett who says,”Will can charm a crowd whether fronting a band, or playing solo. That's why you see his songs on my albums and his face on our stage.” The Americana Music Association named him Instrumentalist of the Year in 2004 for his playing on anything with strings. Along with his scores of albums recorded with other artists and as a member of several bands, he’s released six solo albums, including his latest, Sideshow Love, which American Songwriter calls “thoroughly charming” and “filled with expertly crafted, wonderfully heartfelt songs filled with passion, pain, humor, and hope.” PopMatters compares him to his esteemed musical compadres Rodney Crowell and Todd Snider, and says he “has the same self-deprecating sense of humor and instrumental chops on guitar, banjo, mandolin, keyboards and more that make his story songs into mini-operas."
