Join bands from Take the Stage Band Workshop for a fun afternoon of lively music. The workshops, coached by Dave Zimmerman and Topher Gayle, in partnership with Nell Robinson, the Freight, and the California Bluegrass Association, allow aspiring players to explore performing music in a bluegrass or americana band, culminating in tonight's concert showcasing the skills they've learned. This edition's bands are Loose Gravel & the Steamrollers, Approaching Crickets, and Bound by Circumstance.

Loose Gravel & the Steamrollers features Mark Schack (vocals, mandolin, mandocello), Greg Horner (string bass), Lorin Guy (vocals, guitar), August Zajonc (fiddle), Laura Jue (vocals, mandolin, cello), and Ted Kuster (vocals, banjo, charango). Approaching Crickets includes Eric Jaeger (guitar, dobro, six string banjo, bass, vocals), Tom Pehrson (mandolin, resonator guitar), Heidi Raine (fiddle, vocals), Tony Shen (guitar, bass, vocals), Brian Walker (octave mandolin, vocals), and Tesser Call (vocals, bass). Bound by Circumstance members are Kristina Ryan (guitar, vocals), Adele Liechty (guitar, banjo, vocals), Shannon Eliot (fiddle, vocals), Daniel Barash (guitar, vocals), Trent Tornabene (mandolin, vocals), and Molly Melamed (string bass, vocals).
