Tonight’s show brings together three extraordinary talents.

Sylvia Tyson of Chatham, Ontario co-founded the legendary folk duo Ian & Sylvia, which introduced such classics as “Four Strong Winds,” “Someday Soon,” and her own composition “You Were On My Mind,” a big hit for the San Francisco folk-rock band We Five in the mid-1960s. Sylvia is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Order of Canada, the country’s second highest honor for merit. She sings and plays guitar, and along with her 13 albums as part of Ian & Sylvia, has recorded 10 solo albums, including her latest, Joyner’s Dream.

Dobro and steel guitar master Cindy Cashdollar grew up in Woodstock, New York, where she played with bluegrass guitarist John Herald, blues great Paul Butterfield, and Rich Danko and Levon Helm of The Band. She won five Grammy awards during her time with Asleep at the Wheel and has recorded and performed with Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart, and Ryan Adams. She is a member of the Texas Music Hall of Fame, and her album Slide Show is a tour de force of brilliant guitar work.

Scarlet Rivera is probably best known for her searing violin work with Bob Dylan as part of the Rolling Thunder Review and on his albums Hard Rain and Desire, but she has also recorded 11 solo albums and worked with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Tracy Chapman, the Indigo Girls, Keb Mo’, and David Johansen.
