Hone your guitar skills while learning a beguiling selection of jazz and swing standards. Build chord vocabulary and learn to articulate the swing triplet and get in the groove. We’ll tackle the mechanics of playing swing guitar with special attention to changing chords efficiently, getting good tone and driving the rhythm. Immerse yourself in the style as you learn songs beloved by jazz singers. Geared for the advanced-beginner to intermediate swing guitarist.

Sylvia Herold has taught guitar and song repertoire for more than 20 years. Her performance credits include Cats & Jammers, Wake the Dead, Euphonia, The Hot Club of San Francisco and Sylvia Herold and the Rhythm Bugs.
