This class is for intermediate or advanced beginners. We'll cover some
American Fiddle Tunes which require a dulcimer capo to play. These tunes
are relatively simple, but offer options to play both drone style and
chord-melody style. You'll learn at least 2 tunes per class and get some
experience using the capo.

Teacher, Deborah Hamouris, has played mountain dulcimer since 1979 and taught it for over a decade. She has a BA in Music and gets excited about teaching music both privately & in classes. Deborah currently directs two singing groups and plays in a folk duo, The DulciMates, with husband Buffalo. In 2013 she created the Berkeley Dulcimer Gathering at the Freight & Salvage, which takes place again on 6/10/17.
