Mountain Dulcimer is one of the easiest & most fulfilling instruments to play. Once it's tuned you can hardly make a mistake. And though it's beautiful with "high piney" tunes from the Appalachian Mountains, it also lends itself to more contemporary music like The Beatles & Leonard Cohen.

In this class you learn 2 tunings, a couple of tunes per week, how to follow dulcimer tablature, some chords and strums to help you out with your musical pursuits. From there on you can probably find your own way, as this class aims to make you a resourceful player.

REQUIRED BOOK FOR THIS CLASS:
Join the Jam (DAD) by Stephen Seifert
75 popular tunes from the mountain dulcimer jamming tradition.
Instructor will have copies of the book available for purchase at the first class for $25, cash or check. You can also purchase the book, ($35.00 with CD; $25.00 without CD) at http://stephenseifert.com/
