José-Luis Orozco dedicates himself to what he truly enjoys—singing for children. He is a children’s author, performer, and songwriter known for his song “De Colores”. José-Luis has recorded 15 volumes of Lírica Infantil, Latin American Children’s Music, and written three award-winning books each accompanied by a CD that presents a bilingual collection of songs, rhymes, tongue twisters, lullabies, games and holiday celebrations gathered from Spanish-speaking countries. The LA Times says of his lasting contribution to children’s music, “Over the past 20 years, he has popularized traditional Latin American and Spanish songs used in schools across the nation,” and the Houston Chronicle called him “A one man educational program teaching Latin American heritage”

Throughout his career, José-Luis has always written, composed, recorded, produced and distributed his albums through his own music label, Arcoiris Records. In 2015, he worked with Smithsonian Folkways Recordings who released ¡Come Bien! Eat Right!. The album garnered the recognition of his peers, including a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Children's Album from the National Association for Recordings Arts and Sciences.
