Mountain Dulcimer is one of the easiest & most fulfilling instruments to play. Once it's tuned you can hardly make a mistake.

In this introductory workshop you learn how to tune to Mixolydian tuning and play a few simple tunes in that tuning. You'll also learn the fretboard, some scales, chords, strums, and how to follow dulcimer tablature.

DJ Hamouris has played mountain dulcimer since 1979 and taught it for the past decade. She has a BA in Music and gets excited about teaching music both privately & in classes. DJ is currently recording "Snapshots", 8 original songs + 2 unique covers with guitarist Mimi Fox.
