In this class, designed for more intermediate to advanced players, we’ll take a look at tunes from fiddle traditions including various Celtic, American, and Scandinavian styles. We’ll explore different ways that we as a group of fiddlers can play the tunes together, and get into some of the ways to make tunes groove. A class for fiddlers looking to learn more tunes from different styles and for those who know how to play violin and want to try their hand at fiddle.

Leah Wollenberg has been playing fiddle since she was six years old. She has performed in venues in the Bay Area and around the world, from the Freight and Salvage to the Savannah Music Festival in Georgia to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. She has taught at the summer camp Fiddlekids since 2007, and has taught privately in the Bay Area and Ohio. On top of her fiddle music, she studies jazz at Oberlin College.
