Ellis Paul reveals a different facet of his artistry with a special daytime show for children featuring songs from his recent family album, The Dragonfly Races, an NPR Top Ten pick. Inspired by nights spent singing to his second daughter, Sofi, the album is full of buoyant, hummable songs that appeal to kids and parents alike, thanks to the thought Ellis put into what messages he wanted to pass on to his daughters as they grow. In Elllis' own words, "Most kids tend to listen to music that's either sing-songy or silly...but I wanted my kids to hear music with social commentary and some fantasy involved."
