Lavay embodies a modern take on the classic jazz and blues queen in the authentic style of the 1940s and 1950s, with a luscious voice recalling both Bessie Smith and Dinah Washington. Blessed with a rich contralto voice and the ability to sing ballads and Blues with equal artistry, Denise has spent most of her thirty-year career performing in the San Francisco Bay Area and touring Europe, Latin America, and Asia. A truly versatile pianist, Tammy captivates lovers of Jazz, Brazilian, or Classical with a never-ostentatious virtuosity characteristic of only the best of the best. Lisa, a jazz vocalist hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the evening's organizer, will ply her soulful original style on a number of solo tunes. Branice brings her incredible four octave voice and magnificent song stylings as heard on the theatrical stage and international tours with Harry Belafonte, Roberta Flack, Hugh Masekela and Dianne Reeves. A consummate performer, jazz vocalist Kitt uses her distinctive, sultry purr to embrace her audience in thrilling warmth and a deep range of emotion.
