Our May 20 Young Artist’s Showcase will feature chamber music performed by student ensembles from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Prep Division, the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, Oakland School of the Arts, and Berkeley’s Crowden School.  Personally selected by San Francisco Chamber Orchestra music director Ben Simon, these talented students represent the future of the fine art of ensemble playing.

Classical at the Freight brings in some of the Bay Area’s best classical musicians for an hour of outstanding chamber music in an informal, friendly atmosphere. There’s no stuffiness, no mystification, just an invigorating evening with gifted musicians sharing the beauty and joy of this timeless art with new audiences of all ages.
