Chuck Brodsky, who developed his compassionate songwriting, groove-oriented guitar playing, soulful vocals, and dry social commentary while living in Berkeley and performing on the Freight stage in the 1980s, returns with a new album, Tell Tale Heart, which Lonesome Highway praises for its “keenly observant eye,” “wicked sense of humor,” and “superbly crafted songs that champion the struggles of everyman.”
