Since Catie Curtis began touring in 1995, the Boston-based musician has been gathering critical accolades (The New Yorker magazine called her a "folk-rock goddess") and a devoted grassroots following with her sweet, soulful voice, her dedication to social issues, and her great onstage energy. Many miles and albums later, Catie has gained a solid artistic reputation and seen her original tunes grace TV series like Alias, Dawson's Creek, and Grey's Anatomy.

Catie returns to the Freight tonight with a knockout evening of music new and old, including selections from her latest CD, Sweet Life (Compass), and brand new gems from her soon-to-be released album.

New Jersy native now living in the Bay Area, singer-songwriter Wendy Beckerman opens tonight's show.

Catie will be teaching the workshop Oopsy to Artsy: A Fresh Approach To Songwriting on Saturday, March 19, 12:00-3:00 pm.
