The old adage, "Arm yourself with impeccable technique and throw yourself on the mercy of inspiration" defines the work of singer-songwriter Caren Armstrong. Brimming with award-winning songs, Caren's performances spotlight her skillful guitar playing, quick wit, and honest style. Joined tonight by multi-instrumentalist Joe Craven and bass player Joshua Zucker, Caren presents an evening of dangerously honest, wickedly funny, and disarmingly vulnerable music that references folk, country, blues, jazz, and popular music, leaving no emotional stone unturned along the way.

Whether performed live or on CDs like her recent Everything, Caren's work entices listeners to explore their own inner landscapes in "Songs about real life performed with passion and precision," as Grammy winner Steve Seskin put it. Among her credits, Caren has received top honors at the Napa Valley Music Festival and at the Tucson Folk Festival, and has been a finalist at both the Wildflower Music Festival in Texas and at the Rocky Mt. Folks Fest in Colorado. She has also provided ongoing community for both artists and music lovers with her popular long-standing monthly showcase, Celebrating Songwriters.
