The afternoon will be a chance to learn and sing some of Austin’s arrangements, talk about instrument sounds, vocal percussion and any other a cappella-related questions you have. It’s a great way to develop more small ensemble singing experience and it’s a lot of fun!

Austin Willacy is a Berkeley-based singer/songwriter/performer/arranger and producer who has toured extensively throughout the U.S, Europe and Asia as a member of The House Jacks, a multi-award winning a cappella rock band whose music is currently featured on The Sing-Off on NBC. Austin taught a week-long workshop on Contemporary A Cappella at the Festival of Voices 2010 (Tasmania) and did a two-week residency at Sitka Fine Arts Camp in 2013 teaching a cappella, beatboxing and songwriting. Austin is also youth mentor. Since 1997, he has been the director of ‘Til Dawn, Youth in Arts’ teen a cappella group and has facilitated over 45 youth retreats. He donates his musical talent to a wide range of educational, social and environmental organizations.
