More great music brought to you in collusion with the San Francisco Bluegrass & Old-Time Festival!

Boasting four of the most accomplished, creative young talents of the emerging new acoustic music scene, The Bee Eaters mingle bluegrass, old-time, Celtic, jazz, and pop influences into a striking, elegant fusion of tradition and innovation. Dubbed "the instrumental cream of the brand new string nation" by fiddle legend Darol Anger, the quartet features hammered dulcimer virtuoso Simon Chrisman and Dominick Leslie on mandolin, plus the inimitable brother-sister fiddle duo Tristan and Tashina Clarridge.

Tristan, a five-time Grand National Fiddle Champion, tours with Crooked Still and Darol Anger's Republic of Strings, and has performed with Mike Marshall, Bruce Molsky, and Cape Breton fiddle phenomenon Natalie MacMaster. His sister Tashina, the 2005 Grand National Fiddle Champion, has toured with Mark O'Connor and Tony Trischka. Hammered dulcimer wizard Simon Chrisman has performed with Darol Anger and Mike Marshall. In other words, if you attend the Freight regularly, there's a good chance you've seen some of these folks before!

The trio Family Lines opens the show, blending their voices in beautiful harmony in a repertoire extending from Bob Dylan's "Wagon Wheel" to Gillian Welch's "Tear My Stillhouse Down".
