Wendy DeWitt is a master of boogie woogie and blues piano, with flying fingers, a keen sense of swing, and a singing voice that hits the emotional highs and lows with ease. Her influences range from Otis Spann and Professor Longhair to Johnnie Johnson and Albert Ammons. When she toured with the legendary Hank Ballard, he called her his “favorite piano player,” praising her full sound and two-fisted style. She has also performed with Boz Scaggs, Elvin Bishop, Charlie Musselwhite, and Otis Rush, and led the powerhouse blues combo Blue Saloon for nearly 25 years. Born in San Francisco, raised in Glen Ellen, she started messing around with the piano when she was four and soon started getting off-the-cuff lessons from her father’s friend, Western Swing Hall of Famer Tommy Thomsen. Wendy has recorded nine albums and has a new album due for release soon.

“Whether Dave Hawkins is singing about the river rolling on or the dying embers of love,” says Sing Out! Magazine, “he's more interested in putting the song across than making it on CMT. Bravo to him!” Putting across the song – that’s Dave’s specialty, singing and playing originals and the occasional covers in the folk, Celtic, and country vein. “Dave is a rare find in this world of hyped, derivative and bottom line-driven music,” says Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull fame. “It’s so moving to see and hear the legacy of my own inheritance of music carried on,” adds Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. Dave has released seven solo albums in the course of his career, including Manchester Mornings and Best That I Can, and has performed with Sam Bush, Tom Rush, and hundreds, maybe thousands, of grade schoolers. If you like pithy songs about baseball, small towns, big cities, and love lost and won, give Dave a listen at the Freight!
