A stand-out among the adventuresome new generation of world roots music bands, this trio of Canadian singer-songwriters makes powerful, lush music that resonates deep in the soul. With the emphasis on their exquisite three-part harmonies, Ruth Moody, Nicky Mehta, and newest member Heather Masse weave their voices and instruments into a shimmering tapestry of original and traditional tunes. Intelligent, dynamic stories and vivid imagery abound in the Jennys' songs, which run the gamut of roots styles, from classic and contemporary folk to Celtic roots and country, with a few surprising covers thrown in for good measure.

Tonight the trio highlights songs from their 2011 release Bright Morning Stars, a follow-up to Folk Alliance Award-winner Firecracker (Red House, 2007), and 40 Days, which won the group a Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) in 2005 for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year.
