Spotlighting a stunningly diverse range of tunes and styles from around the globe—Hawaii to India, Celtic to the blues—Frets & Strings presents a full spectrum of repertoire and instruments in solo, duo, and other performance collaborations.

The brainchild of guitarist Teja Gerken (a senior editor at Acoustic Guitar magazine), the evening includes world music pioneer and scalloped fretboard wiz Matthew Montfort (of Ancient Future), deft Celtic player Steve Baughman, blues and slide ace Pete Madsen, Hawaiian slack-key specialist Patrick Landeza, and—fresh from a tour with Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble—rising classical guitar star Jon Mendle.
