Steve Meckfessel’s solo opening set for Robert Earl Keen blew away a packed house in January and he’s returning for a show of his own. He’ll be previewing his long-awaited CD release, Love Will Rise, joined by some of his favorite local collaborators.

Originally from Santa Barbara, Jessie Bridges has spent the last decade calling the Bay Area her home. Her songs weave their way through laid-back roots, painting vivid pictures of her life story. There’s something unique about the way her songs are deeply personal, yet universal at the same time. While Bridges’ influences can be more overtly apparent in some of her phrasing and melodies, it is clear that she is carving out a musical path of her own—one that touches listeners from all walks of life. Last year, Jessie was selected as one of a handful of artists in the Bay Area to participate in the Acoustic Guitar project, where she and Steve met. “Jessie’s singing and writing are strikingly unadorned, pure….and hauntingly beautiful.”
