Alternative country meets rockabilly revival when Rosie Flores and her hot band take the Freight stage by storm, polishing her high-octane reputation with explosive guitar solos, great songs, and gritty, break-yer-heartstrings vocals. Crackling with energy, Rosie's performances blend the best of rock n roll, honky tonk, early rockabilly, blues, and jazz with Tex-Mex echoes of her roots in San Antonio, Texas.

Rosie originally rose to public attention in southern California, where she formed the punk/rockabilly band the Screaming Sirens in the late 1970s, and was an integral part of Los Angeles' New Traditionalist scene that gave rise to Dwight Yoakum and Los Lobos. A highly respected, independent-minded artist with a mean touch on the guitar, she has continued to be a major figure in alternative country and rockabilly scenes in both Los Angeles and Austin, where she currently resides (and where she's got her own day, Rosie Flores Day, in August). Rosie's latest CD is Girl of the Century (Bloodshot), but you have to see her live!
