Rita Hosking was raised in the mountains of eastern Shasta County, Northern California, where she internalized dusty woodsheds, the scent of springwater, and the troubles of rural economies. Her soulful, bluegrass-tinged songs convey mountain life in the West with a sinewy voice that evokes the power of people and a deep sense of place. Rita's latest CD, Come Sunrise, won the 2010 Independent Music Awards' Peoples Choice Award, as well as being nominated for Best Country Album. Other honors include winner of the 2008 Dave Carter Memorial Songwriting Contest and finalist in the '09 Telluride Troubadour Contest. Rita's band, Cousin Jack, features Sean Feder (banjo, Dobro, bass), Bill Dakin (bass, guitar), and fiddler Andy Lentz.

Anderson Family BluegrassEver since their stage debut, a rendition of "Old Joe Clark" at the California Bluegrass Association's 2004 festival in Grass Valley, the Anderson family-now comprised of siblings Paige (guitar), Aimee (fiddle), Ethan (mandolin), and Daisy (fiddle) plus parents Mark (banjo) and Christy (bass), has been going full steam ahead. With a self-titled CD, numerous performances including Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2010, and a Best Bluegrass Band award from the 2008 Northern California Artistic Achievement Awards ("The Grassies") to their name, the sky is clearly the limit for this musical family.
