Prepare to be wowed when accomplished artists Cindy Bullens, Deborah Holland, and Wendy Waldman, together known as the Refugees, bring to the Freight stage their soaring harmonies, indelible musicianship, and unforgettably humorous stage presence.

In addition to tightly woven harmonies, the talented trio, hailing from the rock, folk/acoustic, and country realm, play guitars, dobro, bass, mandolin, harmonica, accordion, and percussion. Tonight they dish up passionate versions of original material, ranging from their sophisticated a cappella rendition of "Save the Best for Last" (a hit for Vanessa Williams written by Wendy) to the bouncy title track from their CD Unbound.

Wendy's distinguished career includes solo albums and writing credits for dozens of multi-platinum songs in genres from country to pop, film, jazz, children's music, and R&B. Over 70 artists have recorded her songs, including Cece Winans, Allison Kraus, and Linda Ronstadt.

First gaining attention as part of the acclaimed trio Animal Logic, singer-songwriter Deborah went on to have a successful solo career releasing four CDs and gathering praise for her gritty, incisive lyrics, couched in a mixture of folk, rock, blues, and jazz.

Cindy's diverse career includes a stint singing in the Elton John Band, both touring and appearing on his multiplatinum albums, writing songs recorded by Texas blues diva Sarah Brown, New Orleans soul queen Irma Thomas, and pop-country superstars the Dixie Chicks, and a Grammy nomination for best rock vocal performance. She has recorded six solo CDs, her most recent Dream #29 includes support from Elton John, Del McClinton, and a guest vocal by the World Champion Red Sox knuckleballer Tim Wakefield.
