Dancers from En Cri's ‘70's gigs at The Ordinary in Oakland and early Chez Panisse and other Old Berkeley parties be alerted!! Tonight, Phil Marsh, the singing, strumming folk-to-country-to-blues troubadour reunites the original Energy Crisis group featuring Bruce Barthol, bass, and Tom Ralston on drums. Other probable pickers for the evening should include Steve Baker on guitar, Scott Hamby, mandolin wizard, Bob Johnson and his magic dobro, Lode Records' Gary Salzman, author of "One Stout and He's Out," Polly Frizzell and her famous fiddlin', and other surprise mystery guests! You never know!

The Freight's inaugural performer in 1968, Phil's many musical incarnations include stints with the Cleanliness and Godliness Skiffle Band, and the East Bay Sharks. He was also musical director for the Pickle Family Circus,
and wrote songs for the San Francisco Mime Troupe.
