Nell Robinson's "The Rose Of No-Man's Land" tells the story of an American family's musical journey with songs from the Revolutionary War to the present interwoven with 250 years of letters, stories, and poetry from Nell's rural Alabama family. This uniquely crafted concert – which has been made into a PBS feature – showcases Nell’s lush vocal quality and artisan story telling. Nell shares the stage with an all-star cast of musicians, actors, and writers, including two-time Grammy winner and folk icon Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and a band featuring Jim Nunally  on guitar and vocals, Mike Witcher on slide guitar and dobro, Levon Henry on clarinet and soprano sax, Zach Harmon on percussion, and Jim Kerwin on string bass. Joining the band is writer Joyce Maynard, the acclaimed author of Labor Day, After Life, and At Home in the World. This show originated at the Freight six years ago and has gone on to entertain audiences at the Kennedy Center and around the country.

Nell Robinson is proud to be partnering with Berkeley Food & Housing Project to raise funds and awareness for Veterans' healthcare and wellbeing through this event. For more information, please visit www.bfhp.org.
