Marley's Ghost achieves the seemingly impossible with its audacious blend of English folk roots, gospel, country, R&B, even Scottish bagpipe tunes-and it all works like a dream! They return to the Freight celebrating the February 2010 release of their ninth album, GHOST TOWN (Sage Arts), recorded in Nashville with legendary country songwriter/producer cowboy Jack Clement. Clement has written or produced hits for artists as diverse as Charlie Pride in the 70's to a platinum album with U2. "Marley's Ghost is very experienced, versatile and best of all, open-minded, and a fun bunch of guys," says Clement. "I prefer to play with a great band rather than a bunch of great session players. And they are a great band. The band's got some bang to it," says Clement, which Marley's Ghost bassist and singer Dan Wheetman calls their "performance with heart and energy."

Together they are a unique amalgam of their respective backgrounds, personal proclivities and musical abilities—a blend honed to a seamless collaboration over the many miles and twenty years they have traveled together down the road. This hotbed of instrumental talent, features Jon Wilcox, Mike Phelan, Dan Wheetman, Ed Littlefield, and Jerry Fletcher on a constantly revolving blend of mandolin, guitar, bouzouki, dobro, fiddle, bass, pedal steel, keyboards, percussion, and Highland bagpipes. They're all great singers, too! This is one show not to be missed.
