Legends of the Celtic HarpThree of the world's premier Celtic harpists combine music with spoken word to open “The Door Between Worlds,” taking the audience on a dramatic journey into the Celtic “Otherworld,” a Land of Faery filled with wonder and darkness, peril and delight. The ensemble Legends of the Celtic Harp, featuring Patrick Ball, Lisa Lynne, and Aryeh Frankfurter, plays Celtic harps, Irish bouzouki, mandolin, cittern, and Swedish nyckelharpa, and recounts tales of a mystical land from which no one returns unchanged.

Patrick, who grew up in California and studied in Ireland and in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, plays the Celtic harp and tells mesmerizing stories. The San Francisco Chronicle calls him “an American master of the Irish instrument, a peripatetic modern day bard, combining tale-telling, history, and music into a seamless compound that reaches all ages and all types of listeners.” Variety praises his “hauntingly beautiful ballads and lilting storytelling.” Lisa Lynne plays Celtic harp, Irish bouzouki, and mandolin. Windham Hill Records calls her music “quite possibly the most beautiful music you have ever heard.” Aryeh Frankfurter plays Celtic harp, cittern, and the Swedish nyckelharpa. He played classical violin starting at age three, moved on to progressive rock, and found himself most at home with folk and traditional music from around the world. Together, Patrick, Lisa, and Aryeh create a rich tapestry threaded with history and myth, fact and legend, and music of exquisite artistry.
