Joe Robinson, who hails from Temagog, New South Wales, started touring with Tommy Emmanuel at age 11, won the Australian National Songwriting Competition at 13, and claimed the $250,000 first prize on TV’s Australia’s Got Talent at 16. Now 24, he’s coming to the Freight with a worldwide following and a handful of scintillating albums under his belt. His music features his breathtaking guitar work on both acoustic and electric guitars, as well as his appealing vocals, which combine pop accessibility with hints of rock, jazz, and blues. Guitar Player Magazine describes his album Let Me Introduce You as “replete with catchy melodic hooks, sophisticated pop progressions, soulful vocals, and superb guitar playing that encompasses influences from Sweet Baby James to Django.” Prepare to be dazzled!

The Rad Trads are a horn-powered, New York City band with jazz chops and a rock and roll heart. With four powerful horn players, a driving rhythm section, and three dynamic lead vocalists, the band brings their love of making music to a wide range of styles, from Chicago and Mississippi Delta blues to the brass band enchantment of New Orleans, from country soul to big city funk, from rock to roll. Featuring Jared LaCasce on trumpet and vocals, Michael Fatum on trumpet, Patrick Sargent on tenor saxophone, “Tall” Sam Crittenden on trombone, Alden Harris McCoy on guitar and vocals, Johnny Fatum on drums, percussion, and vocals, Michael "Big Red" Harlen on bass, and Jamie Eblen on drums and percussion, the band has toured Europe and America, and plays regularly at New York clubs like the Blue Note, Brooklyn Bowl, and Webster Hall.
