Jim Kweskin & Geoff MuldaurFolks, this show is going to be a blast! Join three masters of American home-grown music, Jim Kweskin, Geoff Muldaur, and Suzy Thompson, as they treat our ears and toes to a superlative selection of good-time tunes from their extensive combined repertoire of jug band, ragtime, and old-time country music.

1960s folk revival heroes, the Jim Kweskin Jug Band, parlayed its good-time music at venues from Cambridge coffeehouses to the Newport Folk Festival to the psychedelic ballrooms of San Francisco, where they shared billing with the likes of Big Brother and the Holding Company and the Doors. Jim led the band on guitar and vocals, as he and Geoff shaped its good-humored mix of old-time folk, jazz, blues, and 1920s and '30s party music.

Geoff went on to do a stint with Paul Butterfield's Better Days before embarking on his own solo career. The London Times wrote of Geoff in concert, "Immaculate guitar picking was matched by vocals that were rich, and bore out the guitarist,  Richard Thompson's praise for him: 'There are only three white blues singers, and Geoff Muldaur is at least two of them.'" Geoff is a frequent guest on Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion.

Suzy ThompsonA vital member of the Bay Area acoustic music landscape, Suzy's exuberant fiddling and vocals have graced acclaimed roots music bands like Any Old Time, the California Cajun Orchestra, and the Bluegrass Intentions.  She's also performed and recorded with many roots music luminaries including Dave Alvin, Maria Muldaur, Laurie Lewis, Jody Stecher & Kate Brislin, Ginny Hawker & Tracy Schwarz, and Country Joe MacDonald.

Jim, Geoff, and Suzy were most recently seen together on the Freight stage as members of the Texas Sheiks , a roots music allstar tribute to the Mississippi Sheiks.
