This progressive young Nashville band has been making waves for the past few years on the bluegrass scene with their fiery playing and tight, dynamic shows that sparkle with infectious energy. And tonight you, too, can be a part of the Infamous Stringdusters experience, as they stop by the Freight on their 2010 Ski Tour.

Deeply rooted in tradition yet more than happy to stretch out in jam band-style improvisation, the Stringdusters do an excellent job of uniting wildly different musical backgrounds, balancing inspiration with discipline, and creativity with experience. Andy Hall (Dobro), Andy Falco (guitar), Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle), Jesse Cobb (mandolin), and Travis Book (upright bass) offer razor-sharp vocals, superb instrumental abilities, and a repertoire of well-crafted original songs and tunes that helped their debut CD, Fork in the Road (Sugar Hill), win International Bluegrass Music Association awards in three separate categories. Tonight they'll be playing plenty of new tunes, with the spotlight on selections from their soon-to-be-released third CD, Things That Fly (Sugar Hill).
