The Gillette BrothersCome hear the real deal, genuine cowboy music straight from the horses' mouth (so to speak) when the Gillette Brothers, Guy and Pipp, take a break from their cattle ranch in Crockett, Texas to entertain you. Accompanying themselves on guitars, banjos, harmonicas, tambourines, bones, and kazoos, Guy and Pipp tell stories and sing songs of cowboys dying on the prairie, of outlaws and horses, of hard times come knocking at the door, spicing the evening with vaudeville and minstrel show routines for a toe-tapping, rip roaring good time.

Dedicated to keeping the cowboy traditions alive, the duo tells stories of how these songs originated in the trail-riding period of the late 1800s when people from different parts of the country flooded the open range. This cultural melting pot of freed slaves, Irish, Mexican, Scottish, and many other groups gave birth to new genres of story and song immortalizing the cowboy.

In 1998 and again in 2003 the brothers were winners of the Will Rogers Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Advancement of Contemporary Cowboy Music. The most recent of their six albums Cowboys, Minstrels & Medicine Shows won the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's 2010 Wrangler Award for best traditional western album.
