Frank Solivan & Dirty KitchenCombining the raw, driving energy of a classic bluegrass band with an innovative, contemporary sound, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen play stunningly polished music that delivers quite a rush. As No Depression magazine's Devon Leger recently described it, "There’s a red-hot core of barely tamed wildness in the heart of bluegrass music, something we tend to forget in this day-and-age. Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen helped me remember why I love bluegrass: the pure adrenaline of lightning-fast picking and wickedly complex arrangements."

Frank literally grew up playing bluegrass in his hometown, Modesto. By the time he was 12, he was a featured player at Grass Valley's famed Father's Day Bluegrass Festival, and had taken first place in a half dozen instrumental contests. Displaying equally impressive chops on mandolin, guitar, and fiddle (he's a great tenor singer, too), Frank performed with the prestigious United States Navy Band, Country Current, before stepping out with his own group. Featuring Mike Munford on banjo, Lincoln Meyers on guitar, and Danny Booth on bass, Dirty Kitchen skillfully follows Frank through his intriguing melodies, articulate lyrics, and turn-on-a-dime rhythms. The band recently released an eponymous CD.
