The Folk Collection could just as well be named the "Singing the Classic Songs of the 1960s Folk Era" group. Tony Unger, Ed Labowitz, and Mike Sirota grew up in the ’60s, when they fell in love with the story songs and three-part harmonies of that acoustic era. Ed and Tony have been a duo on and off since their days at Hollywood High School, and Mike joined the group in 2003. Much of their repertoire is familiar to audiences of all ages. They’ve been influenced by the well-known groups of the era, but they also have their own sound and sense of humor. Audiences get a real kick out of their medley of the great TV Western theme songs of the '50s, including themes from Rawhide, Davy Crockett, Maverick, and Bonanza.

Playing their original songs alongside a repertoire of folk favorites like “Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” “If I Had a Hammer,” “This Land is Your Land," and “Blowin’ in the Wind” their shows tend to turn into impromptu sing alongs. Don’t miss this opportunity to take a trip down memory lane with The Folk Collection!
