Maria MuldaurThe fabulous Maria Muldaur returns to the Freight for a multimedia retrospective featuring all her hits and fan favorites from every stage of her glorious career, as well as fascinating stories about her collaborations with some of the greatest names in music.

Maria was born in Greenwich Village and began singing professionally as a teenager in the early 1960s, first in the Even Dozen Jug Band with David Grisman and John Sebastian, then in the Jim Kweskin Jug Band with Geoff Muldaur. Her solo career took off in 1973 with the release of the hit single “Midnight at the Oasis,” and since then she’s recorded 40 albums, been nominated for half a dozen Grammy awards, and continued to work with extraordinary musicians from Jerry Garcia to Bonnie Raitt to Alvin Youngblood Hart. Sultry and sweet, bawdy and beautiful, Maria is a W-O-M-A-N who has run the gamut of American roots music, and now she’s taking a look back at all that magical, musical dust she kicked up!
