Eve Decker & Lisa ZeilerEve Decker co-founded the feminist folk trio Rebecca Riots in 1993, recording four albums and playing sold-out shows around the country and at the Freight. Since then, she’s released a pair of wondrous solo albums, Commentary on Perfections of the Heart and Simple Truth. She “has a great big heart, writes a wise and witty lyric, and has a voice that carries with it our deepest longings and fulfillment,” says renowned Buddhist and newsman Wes “Scoop” Nitzker. “The two most wonderful things I have found in my life, that have eased my own suffering and brought me joy, are music and Buddhist teachings,” she says. “So, I have dedicated my life to sharing both.” Lisa Zeiler, also of Rebecca Riots fame, plays guitar and mandolin and sings beautifully.

Singer and songwriter, teacher and activist, Jennifer Berezan has a decades-long history of making music that blends her political commitment and spiritual sensitivity with her inspiring voice and intrepid guitar playing. Her album In These Arms, A Song for All Being is based on the Buddhist practice of lovingkindness and compassion, and features voices from around the world. Chris Webster is known for her bluesy, jazzy, soulful vocals. Her magic, says the Oakland Tribune, “derives from those ineffable qualities of vocal grain, emotional nuance, timing, and phrasing possessed by the truly great and moving singers of any style.”

Lisa Ferraro & Erika Luckett began their musical collaboration in 2006 and have recorded five albums, including Sacred, On the Way of Love: Songs Inspired by Rumi, Awe, Reflection, and, most recently, Leaning Toward the Good. Lisa is a soulful jazz vocalist who grew up in Pittsburg and has worked with Marvin Hamlisch, Hendrick Merkins, Roger Humphries, and Julie Bonk. Erika is an award-winning singer-songwriter and innovative guitarist who was born in Mexico and grew up in South America. Lisa and Erika are intent on amplifying the goodness, joy, and nourishment in the world. Science of Mind Magazine calls them “fire and honey, lightning and gold” and praises their “music born of the earth and destined for the heavens.”
