Dr. K is back with a trio of acts guaranteed to feed both mind and ears, while keeping the toes tapping!

The Curios—Marc Games, Nancy Hall, Lee Parvin, Mike Tyler, and Jim Kerwin—are a group of musicians whose combined resume include recording and performing with Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Taj Mahal, Michael Bloomfield, YoYo Ma, and Jerry Garcia. Tonight, they trade off turns on accordion, piano, Hammond B-3, harmonica, and melodica, as well as ukulele, guitar, glockenspiel, dulcimer and assorted gizmos while parlaying their intriguing originals.

Enigmatic singer-songwriter and guitarist Michael Foley presents a selection of originals and great songs from the 1950's. With his evocative vocal style and passionate guitar work, Michael has spent years playing as a sideman for folks from Gene Clark of the Byrds to rock and blues luminary Mark Naftalin. Says Michael: "I've always wanted to be in a band where I could finger pick on one song and still get to play ‘Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,' one of my all time favorite songs."

David Gans is a veteran of the music business as a songwriter and performer, a folk festival favorite, and a radio producer (he hosts the nationally syndicated "Grateful Dead Hour", and of "Dead to the World" on KPFA). Tonight, David performs his own engaging, "warmly cynical" songs that encompass a variety of styles within the americana and jam-band spectrums.
