Peter JansonPeter Janson is a “gifted acoustic finger-style guitar player,” says the website Dirty Linen, who brings superb technical mastery and heartfelt passion to his arrangements of traditional tunes from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, and North America, as well as his own Celtic-inspired compositions. “I’ve placed my emphasis on interpretation,” he says, “as opposed to strict tradition.” Acoustic Guitar Magazine praises his “luscious tone and elegant compositional ideas,” adding that “his compositions have real depth.” Born in Cambridge, educated at Boston’s New England Conservatory of Music, and still rooted in Massachusetts, he has contributed to more than a dozen albums and released six of his own, including his latest, A Long Road: Tunes From Celtic Lands. His music, which has been featured on PBS, CBS, Sirius/XM, and other outlets, appeals to casual fans and guitar aficionados alike, and his commitment to playing honestly and joyously makes for a very entertaining live performance.

Steve DavisonSteve Davison of Little Rock, Arkansas is a solo 6- and 12-string guitarist and composer who focuses on traditional and roots fingerstyle playing and the intimate qualities of the acoustic guitar, building his compositions around simple melodic structures and the tonal possibilities of alternate tunings. He launched his musical career as a teenager playing drums in a series of rock and roll bands, but put down the sticks a few years later after seeing Thom Ward play solo acoustic guitar. Inspired by that performance and the work of guitarists like Leo Kotke and Ed Gerhard, he learned how to play – and has kept right on playing, winning the solo competition at the Arkansas Acoustic Music Festival in 2005, making finalist at the Merle Travis Fingerstyle Competition in 2009, and performing around the country as part of the “Artistry of the Guitar” series.

Larry PattisNamed one of the "Top 10 Best Acoustic Music Artists of the Decade" by the International Acoustic Music Awards, Larry Pattis has been a featured headline performer at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Millennium Stage in Washington DC. Larry grew up listening to everything from Bach & Mozart, Allan Sherman, Benny Goodman, and more on the hi-fi at his grandparent's apartment on the near-north side of Chicago. It wasn't until his senior year of high school that he chanced upon solo steel-string and classical acoustic guitar music. Smitten with folk and classical guitar music, he also discovered the still-thriving greater Chicago folk music scene at clubs like The Earl Of Old Towne and Amazing Grace and began performing in the local coffeehouses of Bloomington, IN during his college years.
