Achilles Wheel is a high energy Roots and World music/Rock and Roll band from Northern California, featuring award-winning songwriting played on numerous stringed instruments and more drums than you can shake a stick at. In the wake of their breakout performance at the 2012 Kate Wolf Music Festival, the band has been burning up stages all across California ever since. With the release of their 3rd studio recording Devil in the Yard, which is currently getting airplay nationwide as well as in Europe, Achilles Wheel further dispels the myth that jam oriented bands can’t write great songs. The quality of the band’s songwriting combined with stunning musicianship has earned them spots at California’s Worldfest, The Strawberry Music Festival, The Redwood Mountain Faire, The Redwood Ramble, Railroad Earth’s Hangtown Halloween, Great American Music Hall and sold out shows at Terrapin Crossroads and the Sierra Nevada Brewery Big Room.

The fiery epicenter of Achilles Wheel’s sound is Jonny Mojo on lead guitar and vocals, surrounded by Paul Kamm and Shelby Snow on rhythm, bass and vocals, and Gary Campus and Mark McCartney on drums and vocals. New member and keyboardist, Ben Jacobs, has played with Poor Man’s Whisky, Grateful Bluegrass Boys and Rusty Stringfield.

And as original songs go, Achilles Wheel’s are some of the most accessible around and will stay with you long after the excitement of the show is over. These writers have been acknowledged by many of the biggest music festivals in the country including Kerrville, Telluride and Rocky Mtn. Folk. Achilles Wheel has been recognized twice in the ‘Race to TRI’ song contest, for their songs ‘Got a Tattoo’ and ‘Let The Dream Begin’. Many on the West Coast will recognize TRI as a premier audio/video production studio run by Bob Weir.

Keith Greeninger is a seasoned troubadour, a multi-award-winning songwriter, and an unforgettable performer. His most recent album, Soul Connection, features members of the Bonnie Raitt Band and Little Feat. Solo and in collaboration with his trio, City Folk and Dayan Kai, Keith has performed at The Kate Wolf Festival, The High Sierra Music Festival, The Sisters Folk Festival, and The Oregon Country Fair. His masterfully crafted tunes and powerful presence have earned him top songwriting awards at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, The Kerrville Folk Festival and The Napa Valley Folk Festival. Eugene Weekly says, “Greeninger’s music has a dramatic quality to it. A storyteller in song, he paints masterful portraits of humanity in both its splendor and strife.”
