Please join us for a special afternoon performance celebrating the 79th reunion of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, the nearly 3,000 American volunteers who fought against fascism during the Spanish Civil War. This year’s show will honor the Association for the Recovery of Historical Memory in Spain, and celebrate the role played by California's Spanish immigrants in the defense of the Spanish Republic.

Velina Brown on vocals, Randy Craig on piano, Tony Marcus on guitar and mandolin, Barrett Nelson on guitar, Eduardo Robledo on guitar and vocals, and Richard Saunders on bass will perform songs of the Spanish Civil War.

California writer and documentary photographer David Bacon will speak. A former union organizer, David documents labor, the global economy, war, migration, and the struggle for human rights.

The Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives (ALBA) is dedicated to promoting public awareness of the Spanish Civil War and the American volunteers who risked their lives to fight fascism in Spain.
